Ube is tradition. Ube is family. Ube is love. Ube is Culture
A treat that not only is delicious but naturally packed with
antioxidants, anthocyannins and fibre.
I'm Iris, Founder of Ooh Bae. I grew up having Ube, primarily in traditional desserts like halo halo, ube cake, ube halaya and ube shakes,
Growing up in Australia, Filipino restaurants and ingredients were few and far between. Having children of my own I wanted to make them some desserts that grew up with and discovered that the only Ube I could get access to was synthetic ube flavouring which negated a lot of the health properties of the real thing.
I ordered so many "Ube Powders" online only to find they were "Taro" or "Purple Sweet Potato", labelled as Ube and even when I did find the real thing, I still had to pack it with butter, sugar and cream to make it taste anywhere near like the desserts I was familiar with.
So I set out to make my own. I wanted to create something ready to mix, dessert flavour ready whilst harnessing the natural health properties of Ube - rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and a good source of fibre. Being more health cosncious the older I grew, I also wanted to boost the blend with extra goodness so I incorporated hyrdolysed marine collagen peptides and pre and post-biotics for skin and gut support.
Ooh Bae Superblend is to be mixed any way you like it - as a hot or cold latte, smoothies, protein shakes, and my personal favourite mixed with greek yoghurt topped with granola or trail mix. Super easy to incorporate in your daily routine and a little nod to my heritage every day.
Maraming Salamat
